CHENNAI: Counselling for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA 2016) -- conducted byAnna University -- will begin in Chennai on June 24, starting first with candidates under the sports quota.
Differently-abled students will sit on counselling on June 25 while general category counselling will begin on June 27.
Anna University registrar S Ganesan said the university has received 1,85,070 applications (as on May 31) online of which 1,34,722 candidates have paid their fees. Rank list will be published on June 22, and candidates can download call letters from the university website.
In a first, the university is arranging accommodation for girls coming to Chennai for counselling. Students wishing to avail accommodation can use the TNEA helplines -- 2235-8265/66/67 -- to register themselves. They can also send a mail to tancetenq@annauniv.edu.
The student and one more female accompaniment will be accommodated on the campus on a first-come-first-serve basis one day prior to their counselling date.
